Top 10 Songs About Wednesday

Posted Thu Oct 22, 2009 4:54pm PDT by Robert of the Radish in The Y! Music Playlist Blog

Ah Wednesday... otherwise known as "hump day", because it falls squarely in the middle of the week. When you make it past Wednesday you have made it over the "hump" and it's all downhill until the weekend baby. The name Wednesday is of pagan origin and can be traced back to the English god Wōden. This pagan connection is why Quakers refer to Wednesday as "Fourth Day". Wednesday has attracted its fair share of talented songwriters who have immortalized the day in song. And for this playlist I have selected what I feel are some of the very best "Wednesday" songs around. Please add any I have missed to the comments.
