Radish Portable Gold: Vol. 4

Posted Sat Jul 11, 2009 8:13am PDT by Robert of the Radish in The Y! Music Playlist Blog

The Radish Portable Gold playlist series returns with Volume 4! To create these playlists I focus on only the very best songs by the only the most legendary artists. To make it into a Radish Portable Gold playlist the artist must be widely admired and loved by the critics. Some of the songs that make it into these lists are also loved by the masses and generally considered "classics", while others never reach wide commercial success. But they are nonetheless critically important songs that deserve a wider audience. If you love music and have eclectic taste, these are the playlists for you. The goal is to help you, the music lover, discover something timeless that you may not have been exposed to previously. And if you're familiar with all the songs in this list, congrats, you've got a highly heightened awareness of what makes a great song. All you need to do is press play and turn it up!

Yay! The portable gold series is BACK! And as always it is gold. Thanks Robert, you made this music fan very happy.

Just one suggestion: Squirrel Bait

They are a semi-forgotten, critically beloved Post-Hardcore band.
