The Cure is the band that holds the most nostalgic good feeling for me. They were my favorite band all through college and it was a Cure song that played as my wife and I had the first dance at our wedding. I’ve been lucky enough to see them live a few times and have been wanting to put together a Rhapsody playlist of live Cure tracks for some time, so here it is. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Robert Smith is a master of melody, song construction and dynamic layering, which all convey well on Cure albums. But when they perform live the band can reach that dreamlike connection with the audience that can border on a spiritual awakening.

This playlist examines some of the best live Cure tracks available on Rhapsody. If The Cure come anywhere close to your town, I suggest you catch the show. If not, this playlist may be the next best thing.

Love The Cure. Can't wait for the new record to come out. It got pushed back and is slated for oct. 13th. I recieved a copy of "The Head on the Door" from columbia house tape club by mistake when I was in the 4th grade. It stayed in the wrapper for a year. Then, one day I put it on, and within the first few moments of "Inbetween Days" I thought I was listening to music from another planet. I wanted to move there. My life has never been the same....
