If happen to be a Yahoo Music Unlimited subscriber you're no doubt aware that your YMU subscription music service is being moved to Rhapsody. If you're nervous about moving to Rhapsody, don't be. I've been a subscriber for years and can honestly say I could not live without it. I stream music at work over the web, I stream it through my Sonos home system and I take it with my in my portable media players.
I’ve had a Creative Zen Vision M portable media player for quite awhile, but I recently acquired the superior Sandisk Sansa e260R. This “slightly-thicker-than-an-iPod-Nano” has completely won me over. The “R” after the model number stands for “Rhapsody.” The player perfectly integrates with your Rhapsody To Go subscription. Simply drag songs, albums, playlists or channels into the device and they download faster than any player I’ve owned to date.
A couple killer features:
Not only do you get album art and standard artist, album and song metadata, but you get artist bios that scroll while the music plays.
Channels automatically update when you connect. So if you add Bossa Nova, Jazz and Indie channels you’ll always have fresh content in those genres. It’s like Satellite radio, but with the ability to skip and rate tracks. Hear a great song? Just click a button to add it to your Rhapsody library.
This device is just plain sexy and I have none of the software issues common with my Zen. It’s also expandable with a micro SD slot, has ridiculous battery life, plays video, stores photos and has a built in radio and microphone.
Apple can kiss my fuzzy walnut, I wouldn’t trade this for 100 iPods.
