Miley Cyrus All Grown Up In New 'Party' Video
Miley Cyrus is growing up fast. She will be 17-years-old next month. Based on her latest video, "Party In The U.S.A.," the lead track from her album, "The Time Of Our Lives," the tween queen is ready to abandon her throne to compete with the big dogs.
The "Party In The U.S.A." video is much more grown up than
her previous music shorts. Video director Chris Applebaum told MTV
that the clip was inspired by the drive-in scene in "Grease" and elements of
Miley's parents' first date, which happened to be at a Kentucky drive-in. These visuals are
inescapable.
However, when I see Miley in Daisy Dukes jean shorts "swinging [her] hips" across the stage with the American flag backdrop, my first points of reference are Jessica Simpson's "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" video and every typical Kid Rock party scene.
While Chris did not direct Jessica's "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" video, he does have credits with Jessica, Kid Rock, not to mention, Britney, Mariah, Rihanna, Pussycat Dolls, Paris Hilton, Vanessa Hudgens... I think you get my point.
Chris also told MTV that it was Miley's idea to capture "high-gloss, glamorous white trash."

Miley's "Hannah Montana" co-star Mitchel Musso also displays
a more adult side of himself this week in his new music video.
Mitchel's "Shout It" champions his pop rock persona. The "Shout
It" captures Mitchel on the road, performing live, and hanging out backstage
with his band. Mitchel also lives out the rock star persona, interacting with
screaming fans and signing autographs.

I am no fan of Miley's but that was completely uncalled for there have been actress who have done very risque roles at an even younger age and were over sexualized and turned out fine. Does Brooke Shields ring a bell or Jodie Foster
