New York's New Love: A Match Tailor-Made In Heaven?

Posted Tue Dec 18, 2007 3:13pm PST by Lyndsey Parker in Reality Rocks

So New York made Sister Patterson one happy mutha on last night's I Love New York 2 finale, by giving her final chain to the most mama's-boyish of the "Mama's Boys"--slavishly adoring, heavily hairplugged, almost-divorced Tailor Made--instead of to sexy, smoldering anger-management flunkie, part-time actor/life coach, and seeming frontrunner Buddha.

Looks like everything Tailor suffered through for his woman--destroying his previous marriage, getting smacked around by Buddha, standing up all night in New York's backyard for no good reason, having his flower delivery intercepted by It, spitting on Mr. Wise, squandering untold hundreds of dollars on Manolos and La Perla skivvies--finally paid off. That's love, I guess. So congrats to the happy, if somewhat mismatched, couple.

Of course, regular ILNY viewers (like myself, natch) probably got deja vu during last night's final five minutes, vividly recalling how in season 1 Tiffany chose the marshmallow-soft, butt-kissing, marriage-minded, diamond-ring-brandishing bachelor (Tango) over the fiery, trainwrecky one (Chance)...only to be dumped unceremoniously on the reunion show by Tango a few weeks later. D'oh!

Well, we'll have to wait for the I Love New York 2 reunion on January 6 (January 6???? that's THREE WEEKS away!) to see if New York and Tailor Made can make it in the real world (which is NOT the same thing as the reality-TV world), or, well, if there's going to be a season of I Love New York 3. As far as I can recall, New York didn't make any snide comments about Tailor's mama this season, so she might still be on his good side...but then again, those comments about his hairplugs might be a dealbreaker. We shall see if Tailor still has love for New York now that all this season's scandalous episodes have aired.

In the meantime, please feel free to spend the next three weeks hashing out the ongoing Buddha-versus-Tailor debate on the messageboard below.

Tailor is a wimp but NY made the right choice. She needs a man she can push around. She's too bossy to be with someone controlling like Budha. Either one show chooses, though, it's never goign to last--it's all for TV!

No she didn't make any comments about anybody's mama. She should make comments about her own mama...Celebrity romance..will they last, probably not, but I wish them the best of luck.

OMG , that ending shock the he!! out of me. I just knew once she kicked punk off last week she was going to choose buddha....honestly i only watched it cause i thought she was gonna bring chance back like flav' brought her back in season 2 of his show. Besides I'm only waiting for Rock of love 2!!!!!!!!!!! She's right no one in Chicago likes ny ....

Punk was the right man for her. He obviously cared for her plus she spoke often about how she trusted him and felt so comfortable with him. Tailor buys her nice things and Buddha has sex appeal, but money & passion don't last the way her bond with Punk would have. New York blew it.

She is a hot mess! An embarrassment for me...I hope people do not lump in her category just because of race

8. THE ROYAL PRINCESS -
I like the tailer made. that was a great choice that she made. Buddda was just all show and was made for TV. Now i know that was not gonna last w/her and budda

Instead of looking for "love", New York should have been looking for a school teacher. She is about as ignorant as they come.

I heard Domenico from Tila Tequila's show is going to get his own dating show called 'That's Amore'. Anyone know if this is true? I hope so!

I think It is all fake New York should have took who ever took her now she have got a sucker boy who will do any thing she say who want a man like that all shee see is the money and that nice guy was a sucker to fall for her I dont blame taylor mae for saying what he said to her and that ugly moma like that ladie said she look like a transvestdike she is ugle and New york is to but i give her props if I could do I t I would to get them how you can girl if that is the only way you can get a man you go girl.

budda you should be glad because as fine as you are you should stand your ground.

None of these shows are real. If they were real then there would be no chance for more seasons of Flavor Of Love, Rock Of Love, I Love New York, etc. The people on these shows are there to get ratings and boost their careers, not to actually find love. I read Tila Tequila is already planning a 2nd season of her show and the finale where she supposedly said she was in love with Bobby was just last night!

well im just glad buddah didnt win.that means hes single lol

I think that NY is about the ugliest person inside and out. She needs rehab bc she always had a drink in her hand during the show that's why she almost tripped. Her mom is the worst. My choice would be a mixture of Tailor Made generosity and Punks Heart. But truth be told Punk would be too much of a man for her. Besides She looks like a bad trans. If they go out in public it would look like 2 guys chilling.

AP - Nobody draws attention like Lindsay Lohan and gal pal Samantha Ronson. The duo sat in the front row for the Saturday morning presentation of Ronson's sister Charlotte's spring collection at New York Fashion Week,…
