I'm still waiting for you to actually listen to the album. Your last blog completely trashed him, but you only listened to one song. I'd really like a to read a thoughtful review of the entire album.

And yeah, he was totally cool with Colbert (and from what I hear, thought it was awesome to 'duet' with Colbert himself).

Well then, guess Lyndsey is cool again...when you gonna listen to the whole album???!!??

Like many people have mentioned on your previous blog, you can hear the album streamed at iheartmusic or just buy a copy. Light On is one of the weaker songs.

Then you can state an opinion that is valid.

Right. Whatevah.

If a few Fa-La-la-la-la's can produce this quick about face, just imagine what actually listening to the whole album before writing an opinion could do!

Lyndsey, please do yourself and us a favour. Buy or borrow or stream David Cook The Record and actually LISTEN to it. All of it. Except Light On and the now-platinum Time of My Life, if you don't like them. Clive Davis had NOTHING to do with this album. Rob Cavallo produced it and David wrote most of the songs, partnering with some awesome, well established musicians. It's a cornucopia of all kinds of treasures. Pop over to Youtube and check out the live performances from the David Wright Gala or the Hard Rock Cafe and see the songs performed. Then maybe we'll respect you again. This tiny blog entry isn't quite a redemption.

Well clearly you're more of a TV fan than a music fan. The album has been available for streaming since last week and the album has been out since Tuesday, and yet you have yet to listen to it. Can you bother to AT LEAST listen to it before you trash it based on having listened to one song? And why do you keep mentioning Clive Davis? He's got nothing to do with the album nor was Cook GIVEN songs to sing, other than two (one of them being Light On). He wrote or co-wrote 10 of 12 songs on the album. Okay, gotta go now.

I tried to listen to the albuim on IHeartMusic and it crashed my computer. I will pick up a copy this week. Right now I am too fascinated by the new Guns N' Roses album which does not rock at ALL!

Why is everyone hating his music? And saying he was put up to doing those songs he wrote/co-wrote 10 out of the 13 songs on his album and it is amazing!

Cook is only acceptable when his voice and face are seen together (singing wise that is) Cooks voice alone is horrible. But to watch him sing is different. I love to watch Cook sing but I can't listen to his music. Its odd I don't get it. Perhaps he should go into acting instead.
