Got Rock? Milk-Swiggin' Glam God White Gold Debuts Rock Opera

Posted Thu Oct 1, 2009 1:16pm PDT by Lyndsey Parker in As Heard On...

While most metallic-trousered rock stars are known for swillin' Jack Daniels, Jose Cuervo, or maybe lighter fluid, White Gold--the dairy spokesrocker featured in recent glittery Got Milk? commercials--is changing all that by choosing milk as his cocktail of choice.

And now the golden-tressed, platform-soled, calcium-enriched fictional rocker is set to unveil a new 15-minute online rock opera, Battle For Milkquarious, on October 5. The epic mini-movie (imagine a whitewashed--pun intended--somewhat PG version of Velvet Goldmine or Hedwig & The Angry Inch) is being released in conjunction with "White Gold's Milkdonculous Giveaway" contest, in which California public high schools will be challenged to remake a scene from Milkquarious to win $50,000 in education aid.

Here's a little teaser from the flick, a scene that oddly brings to mind Aerosmith's spandex-clad battle in the cult Sgt. Pepper '70s movie and depicts White Gold duking it out against milk-sucking villains:

This is the dawning of the age of Milkquarious. Check out the full trailer HERE. And drink up!
