Michael Jackson's Fans & Neighbors Collide at Neverland

Posted Fri Jul 3, 2009 10:34am PDT by Shawn Amos in GetBack

On July 1, one week after Michael Jackson's death, hundreds of his fans gathered at his Neverland Ranch to pay their respects. They were also hoping for a public viewing which didn't happen. That'll be Tuesday morning at Staples Center. Maybe. Nothing's ever for certain in the Jackson world.

From a 16 year old with her cat "Billie Jean" to an 86-year old grandmother, Jackson devotees from around the the world moonwalked and wept for their fallen King of Pop. I went to Neverland to to meet Jackson's army and Jackson's old neighbors in the town of Los Olivos. I even got on my toes in front of the gates in honor of the Gloved One. Here's a video from the day.

R.I.P. Micheal I have followed u for most of my life and yes the media have portrayed u as "WEIRD" but we must not forget your legacy n the barriers you broke in the music industry. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Jackson family, the children and the fans and most importantly your legacy will continue to live on. Peace One Love...............................

Anna Nicole Smith (A glorified prostitute and stripper) died, the media kept her story for over 4 months. Michael Jackson dies, ten days after, he is not worthy of any attention. People on here who call him names should be reminded that this guy was not convicted by any court, settlement out of court or not. Allegations don't convict people. Folks on here who join the infamous congress man in slandering M.J even in death should realize we will all answer the grave call at different points in our lives. Simply put, the living is not better than the dead. Death of any human being (even one's enemy) should present an opportunity for reflection on our mortality. There should be a natural forgiveness following the death of a fellow human being regardless of any conflicts or controversies. I disliked Saddam Hussein for the war crimes against humans, but looking at his lifeless body after he was hung caused me to ponder for a second out of human sympathy. Also be reminded that M.J.'s profession is entertainment, that's why it is dubbed "Show Business", and with it comes fame. Fame is not necessarily popularity or approval. Fame is not to be equated with service and honor, like serving one's country in the military. They are parallel in all ramifications. Persons who serve honorably do not demand to be famous. That is humility. M.J did not demand to be famous or talked about by the media even in death. His type of profession cannot be divorced from fame. If you go to the poorest places on Earth, where there is no electricity, a 10 yr old child knows M.J. I lived in Africa b4 so I know what I am talking about. M.J did a lot of charitable things, and is still doing it in death. 200 yrs from now when the infamous Congress man and all bloggers here would have joined M.J, he will still be talked about. His music will still be here. That is immortality. Let the congress man and the M.J haters here purge their consciences and see if they've ever done anything for a stray dog in their neighbourhoods let alone for charity. I wonder how many of the citizens in the congress man's jurisdiction that he represents will remember him even 20 yrs after he passes-on. Respect the dead and preach love not hate. We are the world, we are the children, we are the ones to make a brighter day so let's start giving....... M.J and Lionel Richie co-wrote that piece that was performed by 39 entertainers in 1984. Love is what we need and not hate. God help us all in this dispensation.

even our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ went through this.and through love he will see us through this.michael was a gift from Jehovah God, (creator of all the earth and us).who chose to put the seed in the parents of Michael.so he giveth and he taketh away.Jehovah gets the praise today because he said it.before we leave this earth everybody was gonna know who i am. the wages of sin is death.so no matter how you feel towards Michael, his sins have been paid in full.the same way you judge this pure mortal man for something you THINK he did you will be judged the same way. so Bless the Lord for sending us love through his precious child Micheal Jackson.Amen.

I understand that many of you are tired of all of the media coverage, but that is how this country operates. The cool thing is that you have choices. Don't watch TV, read a book or listen to your MP3 player... It's very easy to get around the things bother you. Complaining doesn't help, make a change with yourself. I feel that many people are showing how much they hated the man and how much they don't trust the legal system in our country.... Go figure. Even though the man was acquitted, many still think he was a pervert, a pedophile, and some more....

Americans don't know how lucky they are to have had such a talent. Instead of being so [profane]y, say a prayer, thank God this man was an American. Think also that the next hour may be your last. MJ was no Pol Pot, Stalin, nor Hitler. Show some pride in you country, who is without sin cast the first stone. Ah! I see you dropped your boulder.

113. John -
MJ was not a king in anyway shape or form he may have been alot of things very freaky a child molester and god knows what else i can asure you this if he didnt repent before he died he is burning in hell right now and he aint famouse there and no one cares who he is i pray he recieved Christ who is the one and only King before he died and i pray his whole family does or they will be reunited someday just not as they think

Souphead: Hear this... What have you ever done to uplift the people of your country far less the world? You are lucky, after writing the garbage you just did, you would be hanged in Iran, Iraq, shot in Cuba and have your but reamed in China
